I am fascinated by the gesture of a bird’s wings and feathers during flight, so I try to reproduce a “snapshot” of it through spatial means. I studied the structure of a bird, and the way its components move, and painted a cubist drawing based on my impressions. Volumes are extruded by extracting the intersections of the drawing’s axes, I then played around replacing surfaces and edges with architectural structures - walls, roofs and columns.
